On today's episode of the Only in OK Show, we discuss Carlton Landing on Lake
Eufaula.
Carlton Landing is a new town on Lake Eufaula designed
according to the tenets of the New Urbanism. Residents of Carlton
Landing enjoy a walkable community that offers major amenities
within a five minute walk of their residence.
Lake Eufaula is the largest lake in Oklahoma encompassing
102,000 acres and 600 miles of shoreline. Created in 1964 to
provide flood control, hydroelectric power, water supply,
navigation and recreation. Lake Eufaula offers many activities
including boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, golfing and
horseback riding. A well-known tournament lake, Lake Eufaula draws
anglers from across the United States to test their skills at
catching largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Kentucky bass, crappie,
catfish, sandbass, stripers, and other species.
